Happy Wellness Training Services

Training Services are available for how to use Happy mats for a wide variety of students and clients. Including:

• Everybody ages 2 to 102

• Virtual or in-person classes

• Live or recorded sessions

• Individual or group instruction

• Customized training available

• Virtual live training can be recorded for future access

Communities we work with:

• Deaf or hard of hearing

• Individuals who are chair-bound and/or require assistive devises for walking

• Autism Spectrum Disorders

• Individuals at risk of Falling, like Older Adults

Cost:
$150/hour for live or customized training with 6 months access to recorded sessions
$50 per video with 6 months access

Group Trainings for Teaching Kids

Brenda Bakke, MEd, PT, C-IAYT: Brenda is an experienced pediatric physical therapist who has successfully integrated yoga methods into her work since 1999. She has trained with Sonia Sumar, founder of Yoga for the Special Child (YSC). Other teachers that have strongly influenced Brenda’s yoga teachings include Gary Kraftsow (American Viniyoga Institute), Jivana Heyman (Accessible Yoga), and Mary-Jo Fetterly (Trinity Adaptive Yoga). Brenda is a Certified Yoga Therapist through the IAYT and an Accessible Yoga Ambassador and Trainer. She is a contributing author of the book “Healing Practices to Help Kids Grow up Easier”. Brenda has her master’s degree in education, is NDT trained, & has extensive experience in Sensory Integration. Brenda currently works in a school district and private practice, Bakke Physical and Yoga Therapy.

Mary Gengler Fuhr, OTR/L, C-IAYT: Mary has been an Occupational Therapist specializing in pediatrics for over 35 years. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Yoga Therapist. She has extensive experience and training in Neurodevelopmental Treatment and Sensory Integration. She is the co-author of the book, Pediatric Massage for the Child with Special Needs. Mary is passionate about sharing yoga and mindfulness with people living with autism, sensory processing disorders, anxiety, and other mental health and neurodevelopmental issues.

Mary and Brenda have taught a variety of workshops on Yoga and Mindfulness throughout the country for over 10 years and are Accessible Yoga Trainers. They are excited to be collaborating with Happ:y Wellness to make yoga more accessible for all children through their new visual mat and inclusive videos and cards.
